The Baker-Baum Concert Hall
The Baker-Baum Concert Hall is an intimate performance space with superb acoustics that are ideally suited for chamber music and classical recitals. Every seat is fantastic, whether in the orchestra level, the box seats, or the terrace level. In addition, its design incorporates state-of-the-art technology and adjustable acoustics, making it an ideal space for concerts, film screenings, dance, theatre, lectures, and more. A wooden grillage frames the elegant curvature of the seating area creating a shape reminiscent of a European opera house. Outside this framework, lighting washes the walls in color to create a sense of space beyond.
Should your production require more room for musicians, you may request to have the stage extended by the hydraulic lift under the center stairs. Those stairs can also be removed to allow musicians at audience level or to add chairs for guests, and at the lowest level, the lift extends the orchestra pit—ideal for chamber opera and dance.
The open and airy Brian and Silvija Devine Lobby joins the concert hall with the The Wu Tsai QRT.yrd through several sets of double doors. The upper Susan and Bill Hoehn Terrace Lobby is a ready-to-hang gallery space to support collaborations with visual artists or display items related to your special event, and extends to the outdoor terrace for intermission conversations.
